Agency Not Open late on Thursday
Thursday, November 9, our hours of operation will be 8:30am to 5:30pm.


Women’s Society Meeting Change

Agency Closure
Friday, November 11, our agency will be closed in recognition of Veterans Day. We at AIHFS would like to thank all those that have served in the Armed Forces.


Behavioral Health Rooms Naming Contest
The Behavioral Health Department has updated its session rooms! Behavioral Health is also asking for the community’s assistance in naming each session room. The deadline for submitting entries for our room naming contest is this Friday, November 11th.  Read all the details and view the pictures in our latest blog found here:


What’s your story?
We are looking for 5 pairs from different generations to work together (youth/grandparent, parent/grandparent, etc.) to create digital stories! This Intergenerational Digital Storytelling Workshop will be Saturday November 12th, 9:00 am -5:00 pm, & Sunday November 13th, 9:00am – 5:00pm. All sessions at AIHFS. Fitness Classes Cancellations
The Chair Zumba Gold class that was scheduled for 10am, Wednesday, November 16th is cancelled.
Our Chair Volleyball that was scheduled for 10am, Thursday, November 17th is also cancelled.


Documentary: The Listeners
November 17, please join The Sacred Bundle Youth Suicide Prevention Project and Common Ground Crisis Center for an exclusive screening at Cinema Detroit of a new documentary, The Listeners. Follow the paths, training, and experiences of people who volunteer to answer calls to suicide hotlines.
Tickets are $11.00 plus $1.00 booking fee and are purchased at this link:
Can’t make it, but still want to support?? DONATIONS are warmly welcomed, as 90% of all donations will be given to The Sacred Bundle Project and Common Ground!

Lansing Area Activities
As part of Native American heritage month, the Native American Student Alliance at Lansing Community College is having a beading workshop, a hand drum workshop and a Standing Rock North Dakota Access Pipeline discussion amongst other activities! For more info Eva Menefee, 517-483-9674.
