Indigeneity Lectures
Wednesday, April 20, Michigan State University will have lectures, “From Red Power to Hip Hop: Citizenship, Modernity, and the Quest for Sovereignty in Indigenous North American” and “Indigenous Detroit: Or, How Indigeneity was Central to the Development of Modern Detroit.” These lectures will be by Dr. Kyle T. Mays.
Blackash Basket Workshop
Wednesday, April 20, Michigan State University is hosting this workshop. Learn from Kelly Church, an award-winning blackash basketmaker, expert on the emerald ash borer and teacher of Anishinaabeg ecological knowledge.
Mens Meat and Greet
Friday, April 22, we invite all men, fathers, uncles, grandfathers and mentors to join us for dinner from 5-8pm. AIHFS is calling all men together so we can learn how to serve and engage you better in Healthy Start, Men’s circle and all other services at AIHFS.
