Thursday, October 26th, at Belle Isle State Park, the Youth Connection cordially invites H.S. Freshman, Sophomores, their parents and teachers to discover how they can spend an entire school semester learning about and in the great outdoors.
Trunk-or-Treat
Monday, October 30th, 5pm-7:30pm, at AIHFS. We invite you to bring the whole family for fun activities and healthy snacks! We are asking for volunteers for the event and to set up a trunk. Women’s Lodge
November 4th , 4:30pm, AIHFS will be hosting a Women’s Sweat Lodge teaching & ceremony with Bea Jackson. Women and young ladies are welcome to join us for teachings and a lodge. Please come early to help with preparations. Bring a small dish to share if you can. Please bring tobacco, shakers and sweat lodge attire-long cotton skirts or robe, towel. No metal. Community Advisory Council
Thursday, November 16th, 5:30pm-7:30pm, we will have a legal panel. Some topics covered will include making a free will, record expungement and fighting human trafficking. For more info, contact John at 313-846-3718.
Native American Research Internship
The University of Utah has a Native American Summer Research Internship that is a 10 week paid summer internship for American Indian and Alaska Native junior or senior undergraduate students that are interested in Biomedical or Health Science research. For more info use the following links:
