Fall Pregnancy and Childbirth Class Series begins October 2nd
These classes are FREE for expecting parents and their partners and support people! This is a 6-week series and classes run every Monday from 12-2pm, starting October 2nd. Topics include: staying healthy during pregnancy, preparing for birth, infant feeding, and parenting new babies. Light refreshments and childcare are provided each week. Dream Seekers Youth Group Open House and Family Night
Monday October 9th, 5:00pm-7:00pm. Food, Games, and fun for the whole family. Youth Group will continue on Monday and Tuesday from 5-7. Call Martha or Joe at 313-846-3718 to Register.

 

California History
Friday, September 29th, at 505 State, Ann Arbor, room 3512, Haven Hall, the University of Michigan. Professor William J. Bauer Jr. will give a talk on his new book, California Through Native Eyes: Reclaiming History.

 

Native American Film Screening
Wednesday, October 11th, 7:30pm-9:30pm, at the Ypsi Experimental Space. $5 suggested donation at the door. The film is called INAATE/SE (It shines a certain way. To a certain place. It flies. Falls.) It is a kaleidoscopic experience blending documentary, narrative, and experimental forms, INAATE/SE/ transcends linear colonized history to explore how the prophecy resonates through the generations in their indigenous community within Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Veterans Day Conference & Celebration
November 10th through 12th, hosted by Welcome Missionary Baptist Church, 143 Oneida, Pontiac, MI
