Saturday, September 9th, American Indian Health & Family Services is joining the voices for recovery movement by participating in the Michigan Celebrate Recovery Walk & Rally at Belle Isle. We are looking for community members to come with us to participate in the activities for the day. Keynote speaker will be Tony Hoffman. Community Advisory Council
Thursday, September 21, from 5:30pm-7:30pm, will be the meeting of the Community Advisory Council. We will have Darius Watkins from our Sacred Bundle project presenting an update on their activities, including the new grief group that will be starting. For more info, John Marcus, 313-846-3718.
Water Study Participants Wanted
NSF International is now beginning a study to find out how well these filters perform when harmful bacteria could be present. NSF International, an independent, not-for-profit, non-governmental public health and safety organization with global headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan, will conduct a study of faucet filters to find out how well they trap harmful bacteria.
