Community Advisory Council
Thursday, January 20th, we will have our monthly community advisory council meeting from 5:30-7:30pm. This month we well be getting an update from the BALAC grant by Shiloh Maples.

Decolonize our Diet
January 27th at the Wayne State Student Center the WSU Native American Student Organization is presenting Decolonizing our Diet: Healing our bodies, Healing ourselves.

Say and Play Focus Group
Parents of young children are invited to a focus group to give their input about an initiative to improve vocabulary and language development for children under five. The group will take place Friday, January 29, 11am-1:30pm. Lunch and activities for children will be provided. Please come share your ideas and opinions! Traditional Spirituality Program
We will be selecting participants for a 12 week program organized around the sweat lodge. If you are interested in participating in this new twelve-week program that will orient members of Detroit’s urban American Indian community to Indigenous traditional spirituality and tribal ceremonial practices, then download the following screening documents in either a word doc or a pdf.

Women’s Talking Circle
WELCOME ALL LADIES!!!! Are you tired of watching afternoon soaps ? Cleaning the house got you down? That pot of coffee not keeping you peppy during the day? Well hey, it’s time to break up the monotony of your week and come to AIHFS for Women’s Talking Circle. We meet every Wednesday from 12-2pm. A potluck lunch is provided w/ the assistance of our lovely ladies in attendance . Be among Women  who are caring and compassionate and need a break just like you.  We have crafts to challenge your creative side. We do exercises to enhance your figure. We have Talking Circles to relieve the stress and find inner peace with your spirit sisters. So ladies please join us and heal your spirit and mind.
